I disagree that not seeing them choose their themes means that they weren't diplomatic, I think it affirms it. If there were any big arguments this show would have broadcast them for posterity (although I guess we'll see what Untucked brings).

But she reeeeaaallllyyyy looks like Britney Spears.
She's the only one I know of, but there's precedent! He's certainly had an opportunity to learn from the masters working on this show.
Man (no pun intended)…. Glitafa Dayz seemed pretty darn comfortable in that getup…. I felt like we were watching that guy discover something about himself. He walks (and dances!) in heels better than me after 10 years of wearing them. He looked more natural than some drag queens I've seen. I feel like this is leading…
Yeah Zoe was more compelling in 5 minutes of screentime than he has been the whole series.
I think part of the reason that this episode didn't hold up for me was O-T Fagbenle's acting- I just don't think he's quite on the same level of most of the other actors on the show. Granted, the character isn't as compelling as some, but there's something about his acting style I just can't get behind.
Oh absolutely.
The Djinn's was a prosthetic, they talked about it in interviews.
Ah, that classic stipulation…
Prosthetic/CGI though, apparently… (the penises, I assume not the breasts)
Starz really seems committed to equal-opportunity titillation, which I really respect. Men and women's bodies are both drooled over on most of its shows, and they don't seem to draw much distinction between how they film gay and straight sex scenes. Overall Starz has been quietly becoming a pretty awesome network!
I don't know if it's technically the worst movie I saw in theaters, but Daredevil made a big impression on me as the first movie I saw in theaters where I was like oh, that was a piece of crap. Before that I was like well, there are things happening, pretty people, words- guess it's a movie! Daredevil was the first…
That is very disappointing about Nina. Also jesus, Eureka is waaay too helpful… doing a favor now and again is one thing, but focus on your own stuff, it's a competition!
I know this is early to say three episodes in, but I'm afraid we're falling into the "odd numbered season" curse. I'm just not seeing anyone super compelling…. yes, Valentina looks gorgeous, and seems super sweet, but I'm just not getting the wit and originality out of her, or anyone else, that I expect from a true…
I think it's really rare for a show (aside from an unreliable narrator scenario) to actually show a flashback that's blatantly false… usually red herrings are suggestive but true.
I feel like we've gotten a couple hints that hosts could be staff… there was the hot host that seduced William when he was getting dressed, and Maeve asking Felix how he knew that he was human. That is not to say that the last scene of this episode was not effective and chilling.
I am so happy that with Teresa dead and Bernard a (complaint?) robot, two women get to be the emotional center of this show. That said, I hope Rodrigo Santoro gets to be more than an outlaw/fuckbot at some point. Also, where's that badass blonde outlaw with the snake tattoo? You can't introduce someone like that and…
There's a lot of scenes of staff testing out hosts' motor functions, so I took it to be pretty common for techs to put hosts through their paces by walking them around. Still, if anyone payed even the slightest attention they'd look totally suspicious. Also, how was Maeve able to confidently use an escalator?
And there was sooo much time spent on his storyline! I did enjoy seeing Teresa's exasperation but every time they cut back to him I was like seriously? This again? As if we were supposed to be somehow invested in if he was going to land a hot chick or impress the Board.
Going on Drag Race is definitely a risk, and a double-edged sword. It has the potential to take your career to a completely new level, but at the same time it opens up your personality, your private life, etc. to scrutiny and criticism. At least at this point any queen who goes on the show does it with her eyes wide…
