@Andrea Glidden: That's a very good point, and I've never really thought about it that way. We spend huge amounts of money developing ways to humanely kill humans, yet we kill animals like we're savages.
I prefer ShopSavvy (also free) over RedLaser. Faster scanning, the ability to search by item name, and a built-in product summary, review, rating, etc. system. RedLaser works well, but using the browser isn't as elegant as ShopSavvy's interface.
@robjennings: Thanks for the help. I also found this very reputable-looking site (haha) that explains it further:
@Bobby Stanley: I didn't find one bit of it positive.
"A positive electrode (cathode), made of non-metallic lithium, is connected to a negative electrode (anode), made of carbon."
@chrisJAMESS: This has happened to me before. You have to make sure the phone is in landscape mode BEFORE you press the record button. If the phone registers the change in orientation even a split second after recording starts, it won't rotate the video.
@dangerp: I read a funny article on situations like that a few days ago. It suggested to look occupied with something, whether it be your watch, phone, something beside you, etc. Then when you're close, you can smile, greet them, etc.
@orangesrhyme: No problem! In fact, I just tested it out, and the small piece I received with my shift register works perfectly as a stylus!
Great gifts for Asians and Women? Especially Asian women
@txpunk: Nicely done.
@orangesrhyme: Most ICs are shipped with it. When I bought an 8-bit shift register, for example, it was shipped in an anti-static bag, and the chip was seated in conductive foam.
@Janglesatwest: Carbs are in just about everything, and if your body can't regulate it, it wouldn't take much to raise your blood sugar. And since your body would have to expel the sugar somehow, it dilutes it with fluids (hence the thirst).
"Hello Ms. Dollars. This is Mr. Calling Washington from the I'm not completed an international service. Please give me a call back as soon as possible. Too much of the number is 1-(876)-***-***. Thank you, bye."
@winkerVsbecks: Wow, the Processing library is very impressive. I've been getting into Processing for the Arduino, and the level of abstraction he used looks like it's extremely simple to code for.
@cybershrike: Cheeky?
I'm loving all these Arduino projects that have been posted lately.
@vchalupa: Although GeekTool accepts "widgets" in the form of shell commands, you can find them all over the place by simply googling "GeekTool." Then it's just copy and paste.
@adaorardor: Some applications won't open certain file extensions. For example, try dragging a file on to System Preferences—it won't do anything. But hold Command-Option and it will try to open it.
@styfle: The wording can be a bit daunting, but it's not as weird as it sounds. When you put the file in your public Dropbox folder, you can copy it's address and paste it in RTM's task URL. That way when you check the task and click its URL it will bring you to the file on your machine.
