When I quit smoking, hangovers became much less severe. Now, there are basically two things that will leave me with a headache the next morning: cheap liquor of any kind (easy to avoid), and gin of any kind. I love gin, but even the good stuff, if I have more than about 3 I’m going to pay for it.

Me either. I think there is a potential for a real shitshow and a lot of violence.

The letter makes me wonder if I should initiate a conversation with my own children. Divorced 5 years, I *think* we have a pretty good relationship, but we’ve also never really talked about it. They are younger than LW though.

In Missouri, if your vehicle has less than 150,000 miles, as long as the OBDII is clear you are good to go. After that, there is a basic safety inspection...but if the required repairs cost more than ~$450.00 you can obtain a waiver and still register your vehicle.

I’ve been doing Uber/Lyft for extra cash for almost 3 years. I can’t imagine what being an “employee” would do for me. I don’t want the benefits. I don’t want a schedule. I don’t want a supervisor. I don’t want to have to explain to anyone why I “just didn’t feel like” driving on a particular Friday night, or have to

That is “tactical eyewear

This is true, but the Medicaid expansion also won a majority (barely) in St. Charles County and in Greene County. That’s not nothing. I don’t think either one of those places necessarily qualify as “rural” but they have been traditionally deeply conservative.

Lacy Clay was the kind of congressperson that other congresspeople liked, because he could raise a ton of money and didn’t have to actually spend it on his own campaign, so he could dole it out to others. But you could tell he was in trouble this time because he was actually running TV ads during a primary election.

You could tell that Clay knew he was in trouble, because he started running ads about two weeks before the election. This is a titanic result in staid St. Louis area politics.

I live in an area where this was test-marketed, so I tried it about a month ago. In comparison to other no-alcohol beers, it was not bad. A family member who is normally a Busch N/A drinker said that Bud Zero was much better. So, it’s got that going for it.

“That ball was coming in very fast. Incredibly fast. Many people are telling me that most big leaguers wouldn’t have been able to catch it. People were shocked at what are, quite frankly, my amazing reflexes, probably the best reflexes you’ve ever seen. Of course the lying fake news media won’t tell you that.”

Josh Hawley wants to be president. Desperately so. As a result, there is no camera he will not face, no interview he will refuse, no grandstanding position he will not take to procure said appearances and interviews. He is running for 2024.

They make a nice mixer in place of club soda or tonic. One of my favorites, that I was enjoying this weekend, was vodka with raspberry seltzer and a couple of lemon wedges. Very refreshing.

Don’t worry about what trump actually thinks. The message that he is sending to his supporters is that “they” (could be the media, Democrats, minorities, “Antifa,” “socialists,” doesn’t matter) want to “change things” (maybe as something as simple as Columbus, maybe something as complex as the proper role of police in

And de-indoctrinate them. They are implanted and brainwashed with the thought that every potential interaction with the public, no matter how innocuous, is an imminent threat to their life, which (in their mind) justifies rapid escalation to lethal force rather than deescalation.

I will probably be shamed out of existence for this, but I have been going out to eat probably twice a week for the last several weeks. Was it a little bizarre the first time? Sure. At this point, do I worry about exposure to (or exposing others to) COVID at restaurants? Not really. While it’s surely not the only

I dunno, I’ve been informed by people who traffic in only the best Facebook memes that COVID is over now.

My dad had a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, and then a 1968 Road Runner.

You’re lucky it was code enforcement, and not a HOA. Code enforcement officers tend to be relatively understanding and flexible, and have an attitude of helping people comply with codes, while a lot of HOA trustees are just bored people with authority complexes who delight in making other people’s lives difficult.

I have a 2014 S60 with 125K. I recently had to replace the A/C compressor, and had to put in new front struts at ~80K but otherwise it’s been perfectly fine.
