I think there’s another conversation here about internet public shaming. Obviously this man’s linked in message was horribly inappropriate. But I can’t really back Proudman’s response. Do his actions deserve the internet’s Eye of Sauron to fixate on him as it has? Is that truly the “risk” involved?

You’re really going to claim mansplaining on that? He put it out there as his own thoughts and nothing he said was condescending. Is your point just that men shouldn’t comment here at all?
