I was already halfway convinced that Bigbang was broken up for good and that there would be no comeback even after everyone’s military service was up. But with only four members? Nah, not happening. T.O.P is having lots of mental health issues, Taeyang is married now and will probably start a family... uh, I guess

Huh, that’s disappointing. Btw, have you watched any Monty Python recently? I noticed the whole series was on Netflix, so my wife and I (being lifelong fans) decided to watch it in its entirety again. And the first season or two are still classics through and through, but... *sigh* I never noticed this as a kid, but

So, just being pedantic then, got it. ;)

What brought that on, if you don't mind my asking?

To be fair, Lawson is the name of a character in the movie, and perhaps that made it a bit more confusing for for rslwn to read (although I totally understood your point because, y'know, context).

It was an alien cat, probably crawling with weird alien microbes. Makes sense that Fury's scratch got wicked infected.

Yeah, you’re absolutely right. I was about to reply with something about how Mar-Vell has been dead since 1982, and it’s actually one of the few “comic book deaths” that hasn’t been overturned or retconned, and that Carol Danvers has been Captain Marvel in the comics since 2012.

In this case, Netflix is the new technology (or "automobile") and the traditional Hollywood film industry is the outdated technology (or "buggywhip"). I'm not really understanding how you think it works in the reverse.

The Halloween Blizzard? It has now become part of our Great Oral Tradition as Minnesotans, passing the stories on to future generations. It happened twenty years before my kids were even born, and yet I feel confident that they will be passing the story on to their grandchildren someday.

Keep at it! I started when I was much younger, and it took me three tries to finally read Dune all the way through, but since then I have gone back and read it (and the rest of the series that follows) several more times in the past 20 years. It grows on you!

So far as I can tell, the only major roles that are still to be cast are Feyd, Thufir, and Kynes. Yueh and Alia are important but much smaller roles as well.

It really depends on how well the marketing campaign is waged. This is a great cast, which is a big selling point. If the studio can convince people that it’s “Game of Thrones... in space!” then it might have a chance.

The tickets are free. I'm not sure how that qualifies as a "money grab".

Cross-posting and article “duplication” is an issue among the (ex-)Gawker webring sites, but I don’t really get the problem in this particular instance. Gizmodo, and io9 specifically, seems like the most appropriate place for Marvel news. Where would you put it instead? Lifehacker? The Root? Deadspin?

That was from late-5th-season episode “The Vault”, in which we saw one of Finn’s past lives as Shoko. PB and her became friends, and Shoko tells her the story about how her parents traded her arm for a computer so PB builds her a mechanical arm as a gift.

IKR? I considered myself straight as an arrow for most of my life, but the first time I laid eyes on Michael Fassbender my breath was taken away, and I realized that I had to reevaluate a lot of things. I have since then developed huge man-crushes on Jude Law and Chris Evans as well. They’re just... such wonderful

By any chance, was this “party” a family reunion?
