At least you're an honest hate-reading masochist. That's got to count for something, right?

Please tell me you're not serious. Did she really do that?

Yes, I totally get that now. In hindsight, it was a dumb thing to say. My only excuse is that I was young and naive, and more than a little clueless. Looking back on that time in my life, I can think of at least half a dozen conversations where it is painfully obvious to the today-me that I was being hit on by an

Once while I was waiting for a bus with a coworker I was attempting to make small talk. "So, where are you from?" I asked her. She shot me a dirty look and replied "My family is originally Laotian." I wanted to stop her and explain that I literally meant to ask where she was from, like "Did you grow up here in

I'm not sure if it still holds the title, but for some years Cudahy had slightly more bars per capita than Milwaukee did (Cudahy is a small suburb of Milwaukee which happens to be my wife's hometown, and also our weekend destination for the Veteran's Day 3-day weekend. A number of beers which is greater than 10 but

No shit? That's awesome! Facebook randomly recommended to me that I should check out A Sound of Thunder about a year ago, and I have been digging their grooves ever since. I had no idea the badass singer was also a commenter here!

Sploosh.

Thanks a bunch! I'll go to YouTube later on tonight to try to find some videos and see what I like!

Agreed 1000%! Most pop songs are inane and annoying, and I find K-pop and J-pop so much more satisfying because I can't understand the lyrics.

I have just recently found my way to the altar of K-pop, and I'd love some recommendations about what to check out next. My daughters and I are already big fans of Psy, 4minute, Brown Eyed Girls, and above all 2NE1. We just started to get into Shinhwa but it's hard to find any albums here in the U.S.

My recognition of K-pop bands is still only at "Beginner Level". Was that Shinhwa at the start of that video?

Each wikipedia page has an edit log in which you can verify what happened when.

She didn't mention that it's totes okay because she has a best friend who is of the particular ethnicity she was insulting. Otherwise, yeah BINGO.

How did you manage to acquire 13 names? Maiden name, plus 12 marriages? Do you change your name just-for-funsies every year? Are... are you a spy?

If you can figure it out, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I would literally (no, not literally) give you all the money that exists in the Universe for that filter.

So did you completely miss the part where the author goes out of her way to say that she has no problem with responsible gun owners, and then draws a clear distinction between them and "gun assholes" as she puts it? So no, not all gun owners are idiots. But you apparently are.

I'm gonna miss R.T. Rybak. Dude was a superstar among mayors :(

Please don't criticize. Some of us think that Reddit is a sewer and want nothing to do with it, so we're happy when good articles migrate over here to the Gawker network. If it bothers you to have to read an article twice, then, uh... don't read it twice.

How you deal with tragedy in your life is a personal choice. You can move on from it and recover your enjoyment of this life, or you can let it weigh on you forever. Obviously I am oversimplifying, but the message should be clear to those who want to hear it.

Sometimes that is the case, but I feel it's unfair to make that assumption. I used to work with a gentleman from central Africa whose English was very poor and he had a lot of trouble grasping certain specifics about how to run our equipment, so I just assumed he wasn't very bright. Then one day I walked into the
