Gladiator rubicon is 5072 and 285HP/260 Torque. Zr2 is 4671 and 308Hp/275. Who cares about the taco. Prob not enough to matter enough to not buy it for its convertible awesomeness, but enough to notice.

It’s more how much does this thing weigh. It doesn’t need to be much if it’s in a light efficient truck. It’s a different story when it’s spinning huge tires and axles and through lockers pushing a heavier less aerodynamic truck. That stuff adds up.

I’m saying this looks so heavy.

My guess is this weighs 600 lbs more compared to the wrangler due to truckbed durabilty, length and tow capacity stuff. This doubles the wrangler tow capacity.

Is this smaller than a Sidekick/Tracker? Why can’t someone build a 4x4 crossover convertible SUV that doesn’t suck (other than wrangler).

Non car people feel torque, esp at lower RPM and often think torque equals speed because of the throttle response at lower RPM. They seldom run their cars near redline and torque is what matters to themand what they feel, but they think they need horsepower. Kinda like 30-60 passing times is more important to them…

Amen. Efficiency matters. Maybe post both numbers so people can see how well the drivetrain is engineered for efficiency compared to other brands and models. 

I wonder how many HP get robbed by bigger wheels and tires? Seems to me those optional 33” off road tires would suck a lot of HP compared to a standard 29” tire.
