Mermaids was a guilty pleasure for me growing up and still is to this day. My mother and sister were performing artists and that entire movie captured the dynamic of our household to a T. Well, maybe with a bit more dysfunction. Still.... it’s one of my top 5 feel good movies to watch with friends and family.

I mean that I have options as to what order I want to do the dungeons. Such as LttP I can do Palace of Darkness, then run over and do Thieves Town for the mitt upgrade, get my tempered sword and run off to do Skull Woods or Swamp Palace.

In OoT I can finish the Forest Temple, then go to the Water Temple or Fire…

I think people are confusing a linear story line with linear game play. I remember playing through Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask (the only 3 games that really stood out to me) and having options as to how I want to tackle the dungeons and quests.

I wouldn’t hold the foster care vetting process to any sort of standard. My mother was placed with a foster family who had cared for three kids before and was abused repetitively as a kid. You can use your imagination to determine what kind of abuse it was.
