One of them is wearing trousers! on teevee!

Now playing

I’m going to leave his there for you. Watch it, all of it and possibly expand your comprehension.

Father of Taylor Swift?

Enjoy the following exercise: Picture Hillary Clinton getting out of the limo; then picture Bill getting out of the limo and taking his extra long time waving at the crowd of HIS fans.....what are Hillary and the Obamas doing while Bill takes that one extra second of the limelight (as he has done his whole public

bless you for this. it saved my day. still giggling hours later.

“.....spread their crackers with DRAMA.” oh, i will be following you like a puppy from now on, Ms. Lutkin. i’m in lurve with that clever turn of phrase...

Those do not look like drunk Longhorns. I am pretty sure they are kids studying in the run up to finals and getting a safe ride home from the “partying” that goes on at the PCL or Undergrad library. The pickup service for drunk longhorns in the downtown area is driven by Bob Schneider.

This clip needs more Ana Navarro....

Is Chapelle using his stage and mic to unpack for himself (with a paying audience) the current set of choices in our temporary political landscape and all the attendant complications therein not exactly the same as Schumer using her stage and mic to monologue about Trump and then threatening to have her audience

the blush that bloomed on her cheeks after the fist bump....i’da had the same damn reaction to touching him....sigh.

I was Dirty Hairy, revised to Nasty Hairy....I felt like a lucky punk when I unexpectedly won a contest.

This is beyond (beyond-ce?) brilliant. OMG - I am worshipping at the feet of the slaying queens.

I’ll be the shallow commenter and wonder aloud here: On what day and in what context does one grab a painting, framed no less, of the daughter of a person running for office and LEAVE ONE’S HOUSE WITH IT as a useful tool in getting through the day successfully? Can I out myself now for having a lovely oil portrait of

or for Rick Perry. he gets his own category of “special”.....sigh

Ouch! Gohmert has said many entertainingly horrifying things. He does come from a part of my beloved Texas that doesn’t have a village idiot but rather has a village OF idiots, the northeastern corner. We do have to claim him as a native son but we do not all tolerate him as a uniform wall of Texas voters. Some of us

that’s when you take the bottle out of the room and mix their “drink” with the Jim Beam out of their sight. that is heresy! (no offense to your friends but they do not have to enjoy the Lagavulin when they could enjoy the Maker’s Mark)

And it is not better known for precisely some of the reasons above. Pagans in my area, Central Texas (a big blue pool in a red desert) do not advertise unless they are asked about outdoor kid clubs for pagan minded parents. Great organization but still subject to “burn the witch” shrillness if advertised like scouts

We get the national curriculum for state history in fourth grade, but then we get an extra fattening, crazy level of state history in middle school reminding us we were frontier warriors, rebels, freedom fighters and our own nation. It is indoctrination plain and simple. Critical thinking in college can help even that

And we’re never allowed to forget that Texas was once it’s own nation, complete with an embassy to the United States. It’s why every couple of years some of our wackier aunts, uncles and grandparents bring up secession. Sigh.

7th generation Texan here, trying to bleed liberal and make a difference in ATX. To answer your question, Americans have a nationalist ego that can be identified almost anywhere else in the world - we have a reputation for brash/bold, loud/assertive, activist/imperialist personalities in other parts of our planet.
