It blows my mind how anyone could feel sorry for Huma. I know tons of ambitious young women who would change places with her at the drop of a hat.

I think, in this case, part of the lingering rub is that everyone concedes that if he had just given himself over to being her puppet, she really could have made him at least governor.

I once offered Huma a candy bar. She smiled sheepishly and said "I just had a salad" and motioned her hand over her stomach in a "I am full motion". Her stomach did not look large enough to hold a candy bar.

The Marines on those aircraft (assuming all naval aircrewman) train for at-sea events and are by some standards required to be excellent swimmers.

Good point. The military is what I used to call a dangerous industrial environment in the best of times. Safety has always been a concern and my understanding is that current ships, aircraft, vehicles, and procedures are better than ever, but people still get hurt and killed more often than anyone would like.
