I bought a series of cards a lot like this from the Smithsonian when I was in D.C.! I would like to see some more....kid friendly though (color drawings? I'm a huge fan of historical graphic novels)

I think it's a safe bet that - because of what you said, and because the British royal family really does NOT need more bad publicity - she is not pregnant. Also I seem to remember one of them commenting publicly that 'one is enough for now'. I might be a bit of an anglophile....
that's exactly what I was thinking! He looked familiar - and I usually don't find blond men attractive at all, so that's a face I remember
good choice! On second thought, I might have trouble answering the question - I love so many of them. I think I'd go with brontosaur, because a stuffed toy brontosaur was one of my 3rd birthday presents.
what was your response? I would ace that question!
and definitely he's in a double-entendre named kickball team. One I know was in a team (of course, they had custom shirts made) called 'my couch pulls out but I don't". Delightful
I would say Dallas bros are most likely to be employed in banking, finance, law, or marketing. And yes - they rarely smoke. I've known more than a few to enjoy the occasional cigar though - typically while posing for a picture with their fellow bros. The fancy short and boat shoes is dead on. I think seersucker…
You know, now that I think about it, I might have been overreacting mentally. It was a very unusual situation. Maybe I was particularly worried because I had had a drunken argument with our boss earlier in the summer. I'm American also - so I knew my situation was a bit precarious. The internship paid for our housing…
also, Erin - hollaaaaaaaar fellow fighting Irishwoman!! ah, the Linebacker memories! I never went there on St. Pat's day - but I most definitely had shady, sticky, drunken hookups there. And lost my ND ID card, which turned up in grey muck on the backroom floor. Go Irish!
WARNING: contains vomit, misguided lust, a near brush with rape, and a gross germy guy bathroom
During my college years, I visited some friends in New Orleans to partake in their St. Patrick's Day parade festivities. The parade itself was fun, but the main thing I was interested in was my (male) friend's…
I was confused as to why this got no replies, but I just looked at the other posts. Man, this is incredibly mild compared to some of that stuff! It stands out in my life because of the whole first oral sex thing, and also because I was pretty sure I was going to get fired when she told our boss the next day (it was a…
I was going to say (before I read your following comment), heeeeeeeey fellow Domer! That story would not have been out of place at all at Notre Dame.
My first boyfriend and first serious relationship - and first experience on the receiving end of oral sex. It was an unusually hot summer in Ireland. Both of us, needless to say, were sexually repressed Catholic virgins. Because it was so hot, I had left my (tiny, studio) apartment's front door open. There was no AC,…
this was just the mental cure I needed! I am already a hypochondriac - whose neuroses were worsen after being raped by a guy I knew was promiscuous, and waiting two awful months to get tested for the STDs I might have got
Not really OT - how several feminist media outlets have salivated over 'Lean In', Sheryl Sandberg, etc. That is problematic AS HELL.
Very well-written, Lindy! I'm a lover of all internet-things celebrity, and the fact that women tend to get pitted against other women for.....no real reason (other than they both were in a movie) is absurd.
Thanks for the links too. More than one of my friends has gone on and on and on about how much they love Arya…
and yeah, I'm 29 and my face, without intervention, looks like those 'before' ads. having skin like this and being single is not a fun combination
thank you, for this.
I think we need an article about how problematic "Lean In" and all the raves about it are. I think Sheryl Sandberg means well, but a few (even a few hundred) privileged women being assertive in the corporate world isn't going to solve the racist, sexist, and classist reality of women's lives in America.
I am with you about how much some people's deep hatred of Mellie bothers me. I feel the same way about other maligned female characters - Cersei and Sansa on Game of Thrones, and Skylar White on Breaking Bad (which I don't watch but I've read a lot about fan's rapid internet hatred of her and misogyny).
