The entire race was so damn tight. It seemed like anyone from lanes 1-8 could’ve won it right up until the final 1/100th of a second. And even then! Not even that separated 1st and 2nd!

It took years to figure out what my issue was, but it turns out I was using more masculine stroke mechanics without the power and physicality to pull them off, so I just looked like a weird bobber taking too long to finish.
