Good god, that’s terrifying. And yeah, I’ve heard more than a few people talk about how the gps apps track them faster than their actual speed. My confusion lies in that the gps should have a lower reading. Hmm.

There are just as many BMW V6s out there.
If a GPS ski speed app were just measuring the horizontal displacement it should output a lower velocity than a speed gun, what with the path being longer on a slope.
This is why Torch shouldn’t have days off.
There’s a fella on campus who has a debadged LCI E39 525i/auto. He’s rolling on horrible chrome aftermarket wheels. He’s replaced the front and rear bumpers with M5 bumpers. He still has chrome window trim, but he’s tacked on “vent visors” aka window rain guards to cover up some of the chrome.
Let’s get an engineer to chime in here, but if you could put a joint between the the bar hangers and the rearmost, lowermost point on the bus that only hinged outwards (behind the bus) the departure angle problem wouldn’t be as big of a issue. The issue is making something that hinges out strong enough when pushed…
$6100 for an M62 with new timing chain guides? NP.
Damn. Who has the balls to put Alpina wheels on a Merc? /s
Agreed with 300 hp being enough. If it were in that or an E31 850i I wouldn’t complain either way.
You said you were going for an E30 but the cat drawing really looks more like an E24, or even a 3.0. So, upgrade?
I don’t have the time to look up past prices but a new R8 costs about the same as a new 911 Turbo. I’ll assume the same was true a decade ago. For the .1% of 911 Turbo buyers who wanted a rear engine supercar that looked like any other dentist’s daily (to the untrained eye), great. The people who bought the R8 bought…
You mean the (admittedly awesome) car that looks like the front half of one car was mated to the back half of another?

Yar blar Yar! Why is this crap on my car blog? You damn snowflake liberals lost and are just being sore losers! The writing’s on the wall. You and your 0bummer fanfic’s time is past and we’re going to MAGA!
I like how when Torch got into journalism, he asked himself the question, “Does Betteridge’s Law of Headline’s Apply to Me?” And said, “No, no it does not.” The irony was not lost.
Still waiting? Keep at it.
This is bad kinja.
You’re way too late in the game here, and way too far in a comment chain. This will be forgotten, despite your best efforts. No matter the consequences, just know that you did good kinja.
I drove a conversion van in high school. Definitely had its advantages.
I’m with you to a point, but my ‘01 540i has a 4.4L so it’s not like it’s a new trend. I mean, I’m miffed that a) there’s a 340i (or a 240i) and b) it’s a 6 cylinder. -40is should be V8s.
