After GotG 1, the MCU copied parts of it and put it in Ragnarok and Endgame. It was nice to see that humor outside of Gunn’s contribution. Maybe he’s going dark and emotional now because he wanted to do something different for his final GotG film. I’d bet part 3 will be a rollercoaster of emotions for the audience.
