Relax. This is the President of the United States of America we’re talking about. I’m sure he has perfectly good reasons for lashing out blindly without thought or logic.

Maybe this seems stupid or inappropriate, but I’ve been waiting for his work on this film to springboard into him coming out (assuming he indeed is of the LGBT community). I feel like there’s this elephant in the room that no one is talking about: That a potentially closeted individual wrote the love song of the…
Now, I have to tell you, it’s an unbelievably complex subject. Nobody knew steel and aluminum tariffs could be so complicated.
Sorry, but we have to go with the one that angers Trump the most - which is obviously Baldwin.
Famous white dude plays real-life famous white dude in movie released during awards season. Yeah, totally baffling.
We all know that the Academy has a hard on for people playing real people, non-disabled people playing disabled people, and honoring older, respected actors who have never won. Mix any 2 from that table and BAM! instant Oscar.
It was utter Great Men of History garbage, right down to the loving loyal women who praise him when his confidence waivers. But it’s got all the things the academy loves:
The dude says he’s a soldier, and he also says he’s 29. Looking at the photo he provided I wouldn’t put any money on either being the case
Ever talk to a cosplayer? They’re typically pretty happy!

I guess one doesn’t need to watch an entire film to formulate an opinion either.
I saw Phantom Thread and she’s not that far off. So yeah, she was close.
Did you listen to the full WTF interview? Because if not, you are guilty of what you are criticizing.
I have strong aversion to people commenting on or criticizing a piece of art they haven’t actually seen.
Or the movie triggered her to where she just really didn’t want to relive what she’d been through.
Poor Alex Jones. He’s confused in that ‘shit journalist’ and ‘snake oil salesman’ aren’t disparaging, they’re merely observations of fact...
That’s just how I interpreted that scene too. And that slow unwrapping of the bandage? Forget it. The girl’s got it bad.
I can confirm my frustration in knowing this was going to be mediocre at best from the trailer and yet really wanting to see a sweet, pleasant coming out story. (Yes, I saw “Call Me by Your Name,” though that wasn’t exactly a coming out story.)
It does take courage to come out, but often the types of stories that show that courage in a more definite way are full of serious drama, tragedy, abuse, etc. Many of the LGBT folks I know are looking forward to this movie precisely because it lacks all of that, because it IS fluff, and they’re tired of seeing…
