Forced myself with the first six episodes of season 5. The magic was truly gone and Rossi doing all her scenes on green screen was the final straw for me.

The blurry effects around the center have got to stop as they’re giving me nothing but headaches. Just use Dutch angles and/or other camera techniques if you wish to convey that magic is afoot. Because this trick is just lazy and you’re also obscuring the gorgeous set design that way.
The guy playing Harvey is not the best actor of his age, is he? His line delivery is passable but his reaction shots.... oof. He’d fit right in both in that orchard and the forest.
Came here to post that. Dear Lord, how many times did Ambrose call Sabrina “cousin” in this episode? We get it!
But funny.
Wow, that is a truly awful name.
You know what’s more important than bi representation in a biopic? Adherence to facts. Some gay men (almost all in non-Western countries like mine) use bisexuality as a stepping stone to homosexuality. Same was true for American gays when Freddie was around and is still true to this day. Sorry, but that’s just the…
God, that was so, so good! I like it better than the original already. Brown and black women, lesbians, women’s studies - I just love how littered with Nazi triggers this is. I was pleasantly surprised by the science-y twist, and want to see more of that.
[Comment posted under wrong article, sorry!]
The last third of this episode is some of the most overwritten sentimental crap I have ever seen on TV. It’s what I imagine every episode of This Is Us looks like. I loved this show as a family drama and made peace with the horror element being secondary and pretty blandly executed at that (lazily-rendered CG ghosts…
Can’t wait for Charmed! Hopefully, it’ll have the spirit of the first season or so of the original, and not the absolute horse crap it later turned into.
Loved the competent explanation of sleep paralysis by the sleep tech but then they showed it in action and it came across as if she’d just turned quadriplegic with a locked-in syndrome and that’s not how sleep paralysis works. She’d have woken up immediately before her husband even finished his first sentence as…
Good! I’m sorry but I thought the second season was even more unwatchable than the first. They almost stuck the landing with Misty and her glowing katana, but they of course immediately ruined it by introducing those deplorable chi bullets.
Great counterargument!
He’s not, actually. He’s looking further to his right.
She’s not; the colours and the rainbow pattern are inverted. And Mork seems to be an American thing as I’ve never heard of it here in Europe before. That character definitely does not have a monopoly on wearing suspenders on TV the world over and for all time.
Casting BAME will stop being tokenism the moment you stop noticing it as such.
Seeing how he’s not in uniform, I’m going to go out on a limb and speculate his grooming habits might not be high on his list of priorities in that moment.
Why did you put the word season in quotes? Have you never heard of that term being used for a collection of episodes before?
Using kilograms is a usual way to discuss one’s weight in some non-English languages. But I understand how it might sound odd in English.
