Those are the kind of interesting stories that should be compiled into a book or something
I don’t understand why EA or Bioware wouldn’t comment. This article actually makes me ALOT more forgiving towards them. Now that I understand why it fell apart and see that they were REALLY trying to deliver something unique, I feel like cutting them a break. Jesus guys, next time - take a breath and just try to…
Great read and a very sad tale. I hope it doesn’t spell the end for the series and I really hope Bioware learns from this or else Dylan may end up being Vanilla and that would be a shame.
Again, amazing read. Between your amazing the story behind articles and every fantastic opening to your Destiny articles, kotaku is so much better with you here.
hmmmmm OK nobody read this article until you’ve pre-ordered the book
In 2012, as work on Mass Effect 3 came to a close, a small group of top BioWare employees huddled to talk about the…
Good grief. I’ve always been told that when it comes to the military, the women who go through the training and such should be respected and feared, because they had to go through so much worse just to get to the same positions as the boys’ club.
During part of the Kerensky Offensive, the men refused to move from their trenches. The women of the Battalion of Death ran ahead. They never received backup though, and eventually had to retreat and cede the ground they gained.
It’s not even that - this IS pretty accurate from a historical standpoint, especially within the Russian army.
Anyone crying over about “accurate depictions” should realize that this is a game that makes World War 1, a horrible horrible footnote in human history, into something FUN to experience. Like... no, accuracy is already out the window. Let representation happen instead.
That’s not true at all. Inquisition started development just a few months after DA2. I know this because I wrote about it in a book that’s coming out soon ;)
Um... I haven’t played ME:A, but I did play the original trilogy and... I distinctly remember women. Like... Quite a few. Some were villians, some were heroes, some of them were minor shopkeepers or soldiers....
Same! I love Mystery Heroes.
Found myself feeling the same way. I have way more fun in Mystery Heroes when I don’t want to play seriously, because at least then the Hero picks aren’t anyone’s fault so I don’t care. But QP just feels pointless.
I KNOW I KNOW
I told you, FUCK Meta.
Uh...so what are these supposed to look like clothed?
I’m confused, if it doesn’t have big steel tits how do I know this is armor for women?
