I think right now we're good with SCOTUS, but if for some reason a Republican gets elected in 2016 and RBG retires or - God forbid - passes away, then we're fucked.

That's awful. I don't have children yet, but I absolutely cannot imaging the torture of having to birth a stillborn. Anyone who supports this ban should have to watch a video of a woman giving birth to a dead fetus or a baby that dies within minutes of being born. It's absolutely disgusting that anyone would support…
Not according to neurologists, they won't. And I don't know what kind of sex ed you had (and with American sex ed I don't really blame you), a woman is usually only pregnant for 9 months. 20 weeks = about 5 months.
*sigh* I wonder if the rest of world just thinks our government is a complete joke. Experts - neurological experts (like Dr. Nicholas Fisk, former president of the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society) - have confirmed that fetuses can likely not feel pain before 24 weeks. Our science-denying…
I'm kind of confused by the casting and I hope it works - the Wolf in the original musical is certainly not "quirky."
THANK SWEET BABY JESUS THEY CAST SOMEONE WHO CAN SING!!
My theory is that his agent locked him into this and he was like, "Peter Pan? What the fuck? I was in The Deer Hunter!" He has done lots of theater work, but...I mean, let's be honest, there's a big difference between Hairspray and Peter Pan.
I always thought that too. Yes, he started incredibly unjustified wars, but I think he was goaded into his actions by others (*coughCheneycough*). I never thought he was an evil kind of person, just not particularly bright.
we have had a lot of guys that approach us and are interested in this girl or that girl
Not enough evidence? Let's look at it:
You should remind those people that this country came into existence because the colonists didn't want to pay taxes. They started a war to avoid paying taxes. It took a war to end slavery. It took the suffragettes going on hunger strikes in jail to get the vote for women. It took riots to get the civil rights act…
Oh, yeah they are. I can definitely second that sentiment.
I'm confused - what injury?
It could also be a hatred of non-thinness. I've met many "feminists" who have a lot of contempt for women who are not thin.
Seriously. I wonder how they ended up with a grand jury with 9 white people on it in a town that is 70% black.
I was under the impression that the credibility of witnesses was a question for a jury, not a grand jury...
MRAs: "You shouldn't be afraid of catcallers. They're just trying to compliment you. You should be flattered."
Your comment was pretty eye-opening for me. When I became a woman, I hated it too. I was disgusted by my body and my sexuality and my emotions. It makes sense that little girls just soak up all the hatred. I'm going to do my best to make sure my future daughters don't feel that way.
The press around her accusation is awful. Janice Dickinson is a lot of things and has said a lot of things that I don't necessarily agree with, but one thing she's never really done is act like a victim. It would be completely out of character for her to make something like this up.
Really? I never really had an opinion on him before, but after AHS I can't stand him (probably because of his character).
