Yeah, I seem to remember that. So he comes out with whatever his best tires are. Fresh intermediates? Max comes out with his new softs, but is still behind, so he needs to catch up. Sounds like an exciting last few laps to me.  Better than what we got, anyway.

Solid take. I was hoping for a Hamilton win, but if Max had chased him down on the last lap AFTER all the rules were followed, I guess that would have been okay.

Timely post for me, Jason. I’ve been considering picking up an MGB to fill the “third car/fun car” hole in my fleet. If I could find a relatively rust free MGB GT at a reasonable price, I’d be sorely tempted.

Where I shop for cars.

This story and pics are 100% the reason I refuse to ever buy a vehicle that has lived

Everything you just said is true, but nothing there is anti-American. If you think about it, going into other countries and trying extract as much wealth as possible could not be more American.

Agreed. My F-150 is the STX trim level which did not even include power windows and lock. About $300, and a weekend of work, and it now has both.  I’m slowly building an XLT, I guess.  LOL

Formula 1 just added another race in the US for the coming season, so I think that shows the “anti-USA” part of your answer #1 is off-base. If you are saying that they are anti-American car companies, not sure that is true either, as I don’t see any US car companies attempting to break into F1.

Dang it, I know that, but sat there and typed it anyway.  LOL.

Agreed, but I wonder if the spending cap was reasonable, could we lure some other teams back in? I’ve been watching the Netflix series, starting with the 2019 season. It’s interesting how many teams are no longer around.  What would it take to lure Renault back?  Others?

Market is crazy on those right now. This one is an aggressive price, even with all the upgrades, but it is a $40K van. Again, not saying I would pay that, but the market is there. I am looking to buy one right now, but I’m looking at a fixer-upper. Even for one that needs some serious work, I’m probably spending mid

Yeah, he is right. But, he also doesn’t propose an answer, does he? It’s easy to bitch about how things are, but harder to actually have a workable solution.

Except you can’t leave it on there forever. One of my cars had PPF applied when purchased by the original owner. Car was sold new in 2008. Last year, I decided a COVID project would be peeling that now cloudy film off. It covered the front bumper, the entire hood, and even the leading edge of the roof.  I killed

The parts you touch on the interior are a good thing to change out if buying a used car. I recently decided I needed a cheap truck, so I found a rust free 05 F-150 for $5K. 190K miles but runs great. Once I drained and refilled every fluid, I turned my attention to the yucky interior bits. It had cloth seats that

Tires. I 100% will judge people selling cars on the tire choices. Selling a Jaguar but have Lionheart tires on it? Nope, the tires tell me all I need to know about you as an owner. I am partial to Michelins, but I do have of Continentals (SW06) on my Mini Clubman S.

I think the idea has some merit, but I also get the “why would hotels do this?” question if it’s just going to mean freeloaders hanging around their lobby.

It’s NP if you’re okay with a non-perfect slowly dissolving drivers car. If you’re hoping to bring it back to a rust free state of trim, this is going to get expensive fast. I’ve been looking at MGB for a few months now, and have found a near perfect 100%rust free one near me that I could get for about 8K.

I’m 90% sure by next week, I will have my order in for a Ford Maverick AWD XLT. The 10% part of that decision will be fulfilled when I go to the nearest Ford dealer for a drive in their demo next week. They happen to have an XLT AWD as a demo, so I’ll be driving close to the spec I would be ordering. If I could not

Nothing exotic or anything like that. It was a 2003 Volvo S60 with a 5-speed and 300 HP. https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3yGQ8VYa/2003-volvo-s60-t5

I sold a car on the “other nationwide auction site, Cars and Bids. It could not have been a better experience for me as a seller, and the buyer was thrilled with how it worked out for him too.
