The TJ was a huge step up from the YJ. Suspension, interior features, a/c that worked. What they kept that was good was the mighty 4.0 that even David Tracy has trouble killing.

Okay, I’ll say it.  I like it better than the regular MR2.

That’s a fine piece of machinery. It will do you well for long rambling voyages. I did an epic trip a few years back on a 1200GS, and had not a single hiccup, except for dumping it the first time I hit soft sand! Over 2000 miles, and didn’t even have to add a drop of oil. Just gas for the entire trip.

Nah, it’s mounted correctly. Motorcycle front tires always look like they are backwards, but that is the right way. I’m not going to pretend to know the physics of it, but it works.

Don’t give a damn about the price, that is one ugly-ass truck.

I know they are cheap to rent and all that, BUT the way they are set up, as you pointed out, that you have to pull the car all the way forwards, is such a shitty compromise. I am usually hauling something small ( the last times I rented one was for a Fiat X1/9, a Mazda Miata, and then a Mini Cooper), and pulling all

I somewhat disagree with this. Lewis was on the podium, and still called the race a farce. True, he was the most outspoken, but other drivers hinted at it. Lewis is a unique position of knowing that he can say almost anything in an interview and not be harshly dealt with by his team or by F1. He is not worried where

I’ve seen a race.  I’ve been to a race.  I know a race when I see one, and that, my friend, was no race.

I see your weird ass house, and I raise you another weird ass house.

add -carvana to your search, it will remove 98% of their ads. Occasionally one slips by, but it makes it useable. You can also do the same thing in autotempest, which is what anyone looking for a car should be using anyway.

Get a manual with the hill assist feature and solve that problem. First off, if you’re practiced on the brake/clutch/go-pedal, there is no reason to roll back more than on inch or two, even on a steep grade. BUT, a manual with the hill assist technology makes it easier. My 2008 Cooper Clubman S has a 6-speed manual,

Fiat Spider convertibles form the 60s, 70s, and 80s had a manual convertible top, that had the rear quarter windows integrated into the mechanism. Unclip two windshield clips and throw the top back, and the rear side windows went down with it. best designed convertible top ewer.

I’ve got a 97 Mazda (Ranger) with the 2.3L. It’s amazingly durable and dependable, but slow as hell. And I have the 5-speeds, almost can’t imagine what it would feel like with an autobox.

Outside for me. Hot pretzels and tangy mustard dip for an appetizer, then a really good burger and fries on the patio at my favorite local restaurant is just about perfect. A mild sweat/sheen is no big deal. Makes ya feel alive.

Jeep 4.0 straight six. They made these for about a jillion years, and even David Tracy has a hard time killing one.

Motorcycle trips count? Sure they do. Atlanta to Denver as the first leg, mostly interstates because I had a date I needed to be there.

I have one of these, but don’t have a pic of it, so I did what we would all do, and stole a pic off the internet.

I’ve done something similar. I had a 2006 Saab 9-3 a few years ago, and it was missing two center caps when I bought it. I purchased a set of 4, and tossed the other two in the glovebox. About a month later, I spotted a really nice 9-3 parked at the airport, but missing, you guessed it, two center caps.  Instant

During the race, when they did live interviews with other crew chiefs, they 100% used the words “racing incident” to describe it. Verstappen counted on Lewis backing out. He didn’t. Watching the race live, and then seeing the replays, I felt that Hamilton had as much right to that corner as Verstappen.
