Southerner here. I've been through the ringer of cotillion, debutante balls, and all the sorts of stupid grooming that Southern mamas will put their daughters through in order to make them into the perfect "belles," ready for husbands and the Junior League.

I agree with you. These diseases can be caught non-sexually. While there is a chance, it's pretty low. Phil Robertson actually says this as well as he is quoted above. He says that "the chances are pretty much zero."

The "what the BIBLE says" people with the concubines and shit are those "gotcha" people. You can also find them asking Christians if they wear mixed fabrics because that's prohibited in Leviticus. You're right in that virginal/monogamous is the status quo of the modern church.

I never said virgins are sexually pure... This is not a support/not support issue. This is just a fact.

I think if we judge the merits of this on what his view of "biblical sex" is, as he clarifies it in the quote (two virgins fucking only each other forever), then I'd say he's accurate. He also doesn't say that you CAN'T get it, but that the chances are pretty much none.
