Jokes at the expense of vegans are so fucking dumb and hack. I’ve met way more pleasant vegans than unpleasant vegans (and I’ve met way more unpleasant meat enthusiasts than unpleasant vegans), probably because vegans constantly have to deal with non-vegans, and so really can’t be assholes all the time to us.

I don’t think he’s that wrong.  I mean, in most of regular Europe there hasn’t been armed conflict since WWII.  In Eastern bloc Europe, it does happen, but not on an ongoing basis like it does in the Middle East and some of those countries down Africa way.

That all depends on where one considers the Caucuses to be. There is not really a hard and fast Europe/Asia border. Some people consider Georgia to be in Asia, some consider it to be in Europe in the northern part of the country and Asia in the rest, and some consider it to be wholly in Europe.

Oh give me a break. The Russian military is slaughtering civilians for no good reason in Ukraine. I’ve read that about half the Russian people do not support this war, which at any given time is the sort of thing you’d expect from the US as well in a similar situation. Whether or not these sanctions will disuade this…

I do agree it will hurt the citizens, but the only way to slow down their military machine unless we can convince the government to directly intervene is to bankrupt their country so they can’t afford to fight.

I’m all in for reciprocation and all, however punching a 77 year old man is never going to end well, and also unbelievably cruel.
