I definitely agree that black people don't need to or ever could earn respect from racists and I doubt Kendrick lives his life that way. I've always seen him as someone who at least tried to rise above cliche rapper braggadocio, even though he does indulge, to humanize himself while still talking about his own

Nooo *4534 laughter crying emojis* she ripped off kendrick lamars verse and turned it into the racist perversion of lyric 'i'm a runaway slave master' and went on to date his cousin??? LMAO wow.

I always just thought it was a play on her name - like Iggy is a weird name, and it sounds like Igloo..... am I the only one?

Why is the argument in favor of Azalea always "She's doing her thing." Is she? Is she doing her thing, or is she doing someone else's thing in someone else's accent?

I'm glad to see that someone is doing something about this clusterfuck. But I can't help thinking about the fact that for every single untested kit, there is a person who was brave enough to have the kit done in the first place.

I agree, however, I doubt the County for the City of Detroit is rolling in tax dollars or a base to raise taxes in.

Who's dick does a bitch have to suck, in order to get a show about a black woman set in the year 4025 where she, with the help of some plucky friends, save the universe by defeating a foreign alien race whose mission is to wipe out the last of humanity. Because I am sure as shit not going to watch some white woman

Where the movie done already messed up- there is no way that Uzo Aduba and Maggie Grace go to the same beauty parlor. That's rare in 2014 let alone 1977.

Evil people can do good things, whatever their motives were for doing it. The college students who benefited from his money...well it's a lot of people and you literally can't take away from them the education they were able to get because of the money he gave to black colleges in particular. In the 80s, black

There are women going through menopause who have better flow.

Or his cheating could explain why she was such a miserable, nasty person.

okay. then let's go talk to a woman in Sierra Leone. or a woman living on a reservation in America, for fuck's sake. here's their perspective: your cousin is a privileged, spoiled brat, getting a taste of what the rest of us go through, living in far greater deprivation and with no access to justice or representation.

"Nobody is saying that college campuses are, every one of them, the most rape-riddled places in society..."

"The study released by Rennison and Addington, coming at the same time as the unraveling UVA story, has become a new favorite for people who want to argue that the college rape crisis is overblown."

Thank you for covering this. Campus rape (which is, obviously, a big fucking deal) dominates the discussion of rape in the US and it's setting us on a really dangerous path. Funds go to colleges and universities for prevention instead of to general community outreach. Research is done on college students.

That the victimization of economically disadvantaged women is not news is, well, hardly news. In Canada, we have 1182 missing and murdered (unsolved) aboriginal women and our Prime Minister just announced that this continuing disproportionate victimization and neglect from the police is "not high on our radar."

The problem is that the public shaming/bullying is happening regardless of his guilt or innocence. A few clueless remarks do not a rapist make. If Solkowitz has enough motivation and energy to mount this campaign couldn't she just bring charges? If this guy is innocent...

Maybe if the sport of basketball held significance to white culture because whites did and do live in a society where they are actively oppressed, and they expressed their feelings/thoughts/opinions, which were and are rarely heard in mainstream media, through basketball.

Normalizing relations and having an extradition treaty are two different things. We have normal relations with other countries that we don't have extradition treaties with so this is not an automatic thing.

And just because we have diplomatic relations with a country doesn't mean they have to extradite everyone in the country we want them to.
