I ended up buying all the Series 1 and 2 Kidrobot Street Fighters figures once I started getting duplicates. Running the numbers and odds, I spent less money doing it that way than buying blind boxes.

This isn’t new. MTG and even WoW cards at one point had those square security tags inside the packs with rares. If you had a soft touch, you could feel the tag, and the blank cardboard card used to separate the tag from the rest of the cards.
