Ya, Blizz has gotten better over the years with at least putting down a solid release date for expansions, but patches? Especially back in the Vanilla/BC/LK days? They were fast and loose with that shit.

Was Ingress available in Japan? It uses the same landmarks to populate PoGo, which is probably why it was easier to launch in certain countries first.

<15 minutes after it spawns, which is not the same as when you see it. Once you find it, it could have been sitting there for several minutes already. Some people have reported pokemon popping up on their screen and then despawning before they can get their finger to the screen.

I’d love to know if the terrain has any impact on finding pokemon too. Walked through the field near my house (Shown as a dark green area) and barely got anything, then walked along the street and got mostly pidgeys and rattatas.

It could also be that Canada’s tiny population wouldn’t make much of a dent compared to the entire Asian continent. Either way, I’m happy it works. I’m enjoying it.

That’s the bright side of it, and I hope that ends up the case, but I tend to focus on the negative. I hope they don’t pull a Konami and say “Fuck it, we’re making more on microtransactions than we would making a new 3DS game”

They must count Canada as the US then because I can play without issue, despite it not being officially available here.

Canada checking in. No issues to report, other than the overloaded servers. We’re able to play it flawlessly.

It’s popularity scares me. I love the AR aspect of it, and would LOVE if they included this in a 3DS title, but given how many millions are playing PGo, I worry we may not see another 3DS title.

That’s probably just the servers being overloaded. I went for a walk around my neighbourhood (Calgary suburb) and caught 8, once I was finally able to connect.

I side loaded it today, but the servers are getting thrashed, so I haven’t been able to get far.
