I like that ps4 controller has a speaker ( a la wii-mote) as that is useful for subtle feedback etc. Otherwise the xbone looks to retain the amazing ergonomics of it's predacessor, with an improved d-pad (the worst part of the xbox 360 controller)

I'm a vet with ptsd and this struck me as odd as well. I can't play, and especially cannot watch military/war related games and movies.
But as others have said, each person is different. What may help one may not help another, etc.
