@killwarez001: I've gone through 3 elites. Each of them lasted around 4 months. I got the elite so that I could install to the hard drive. It seems to be ok until I play the Xbox for a long stretch. I had a 14 hr day playing Dragon Age when I first got it. That's when my current Elite bit it.
