It’s almost like reducing the number of abortions isn’t the point.

They don’t care; he’s a means to an end.

Trump’s packing of the courts with imbecilic ultra-conservatives like this is going to be his lasting legacy. They get lifetime appointments. It will take decades to reverse the effects of this.

Stuff like this is a stark reminder that abortion rights are the top of a very slippery slope. These people don’t oppose abortion, they oppose bodily autonomy for women. If they manage to get abortion outlawed, they’re going to go after birth control. If they managed to get birth control outlawed, they’d start

This this. My mania and anxiety combine to turn me into a RAGING irritable bitch that literally cannot sleep. I was misdiagnosed for years as just having “bad period mood swings,” and I didn’t look too closely at it because the common media portrayal of mania is this eccentric, creative bliss.

I have bipolar II, I don’t reeeeaaaally see my reflection in Mariah Carey. Maybe someone else, but Mariah Carey?

I’m very, very glad for her. And I’m very, very glad for people with Bipolar Disorder who can see a reflection of themselves in someone they might look up to.

This article has nothing to do with people thinking that “anyone” is entitled to a job, this is an article about a new mom being illegally dismissed from her job after taking a federally protected leave that mandates she be restored to her former position after a return from said federally protected leave. It strikes

“Right to work”/at-will employment doesn’t override Title VII/FMLA protections. Those phrases should really always have an asterisk with “except for discriminatory reasons” appended to them.

Right to work has nothing to do with it, I assume you’re referring to At Will Employment. Employers in those states can still face recourse for terminating employment for illegal reasons, such as discrimination against a protected class. In this case, she was guaranteed a position after her leave under FMLA. I

That’s good to know, all I have to do is ask. But seriously? Don’t tell me what is or isn’t significant. Your experience is not my experience, and having been in a relationship where there was no sexual activity for over two years feels extremely significant to me.

Sixteen Candles is essentially unwatchable now between the racism and the misogyny.
