Relatedly (I think), it always seems disingenuous to me when those called out in their *official* capacity disemble by pointing out that other problems also exist in the world based on actions taken as private citizens. Protesting government (which is what Kaeps is doing) serves a function that would not be served by

I bet 1000,000 is a lot of assaults, I think. I'm pretty sure.

If what Kaepernick is protesting is powerful and meaningful enough to him to sit instead of standing for the flag, maybe one might want to investigate *why* that is, instead of policing the tone of the protest.

Speaking as a veteran, this whole thing has fuck-all to do with veterans, and the people saying we’re being somehow “disrespected” by Kaepernick’s actions are full of shit.

Conservatives: “This country is so PC no one can speak their mind!”

He was demanding they choose one or another, and it looks like they basically did.

I’d much rather do this now, in my 30s. Anybody have a job opening that pays $100k a year for working 20 hours a week from home?

the campus didn’t want it, in fact, most public and even private universities didn’t want it. the Texas state legislature rammed this on all Texas public colleges and universities.

As an alum, I want to be clear. The campus isn’t allowing anything. The state lege is and the campus has fought it all along but as a state school, has run out of options to prevent it. Profs have resigned over it.

I grew up in a restaurant. I bought an All-Clad set 15 years ago.

Four homes and two wives later, I still own the same All-Clad set.

Maybe if those kids got jobs they wouldn’t be so poor.

Funny that this rendering is basically the Carson stadium proposal with a roof. They even copied that stupid Tesla Death Ray/SB trophy statue that the Chargers wanted.

It’s...kinda fun?

Well, at least it’s realistic. If you zoom in, you can see that the upper deck seats are empty and everybody outside is walking away from the stadium.

Since the Chargers are asking Bosa to play “out of position” in their 3-4 defense, I think that increases his chances of underperforming. Also, leave it to the Chargers to waste a high pick on a guy that doesn’t fit their scheme.

It’s not a moot point if Bosa underperforms, which is a real possibility in today’s NFL. Bosa needs that security, security that is guaranteed by all the other teams in the NFL except San Diego. The offset language matters because the Chargers are choosing to make it matter.

A couple million *only in the ridiculously unlikely scenario their #3 overall pick is so bad they cut him during his rookie contract*. Let’s not act like they’re actually negotiating over total expected compensation, the Chargers just want to maintain a position where every single draft pick is subjected to the worst

This is such a shitty take.

Finally one of these poor owners sticks it to these fat cat rookies.

This from the team still trying to show its fans in San Diego that they should pony up a fortune to keep the team in town with a new stadium. Way to go, guys- what’s next, kicking puppies?
