Hey Travis! Thanks so much for joining us. You're one of the few people who have a wealth of experience both on bikes and in rally cars. In that vein, is there anything that's more scary in a rally car than what you encounter on a bike?

I am far more disturbed by how unsafe it looks to be standing so close to the side of the "track" as opposed to the smoke they are emitting — those trucks aren't going slow.

They asked me if I wanted to wait the 2 hours or if I wanted a loaner. I looked around and said "I'd rather not wait, so I'll take the loaner and go to the mall or something." To which the receptionist said "Very good, but it'll have to be next week as per the current loaner schedule."

Call your dealer. In my case my dealer was already ordering parts and scheduling repairs as people called. Took only about an hour for them to swap the airbag inflator while I waited.

I got a recall notice from BMW today. It talks about how serious the issue is, but states: "At this time we do not have parts to conduct this recall; however we will notify you as soon as parts become available." With just shy of five million possibly effected vehicles, it might be a bit of a wait for parts.
