Does "Snuff" not count?
I mean, yeah, the film's distributor staged/paid for the protests as a way to drum up publicity… but still! Protests!
SICK…
…might just be the single saddest film I've ever seen. I've watched it five or six times now, and I never fail to break down into a quivering pile of jelly during the film's last ten to fifteen minutes. Kirby Dick, he don't fuck around, yo.
"Off-the-rails, batshit gothic camp"
This statement sums up why I was tickled pink by MOTHER OF TEARS. Being an Argento fan these days, for me at least, is kind of like being Mrs. Jankis, struggling to find out whether the old Sammy is in there or if I have to start learning to love this new Sammy. I think that, by…
Dunno about Iggy Pop, but SONNY BOY is my favorite film featuring David Carradine in a dress.
No, no, no, no.
EVERYTHING WILL BE OK is beautiful, shattering stuff.Nobody visualizes mental collapse better than Don Hertzfeldt. The followup, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU, drops later this year, if I'm not mistaken. There is no other film I'm anticipating more.
Not at all — that album's afuckingmazing.
I would never have heard Big Black
If it weren't for the fact that they titled an album SONGS ABOUT FUCKING. That just screams, "Buy me. You know you want to."
Wait a minute…
No Blood Brothers? For shame!
I never put down Kuchar. HOLD ME WHILE I'M NAKED and SINS OF THE FLESHAPOIDS are awesome.
DAMN.
MAGORIUM and this in the same breath? Not a good week for Monsieur Rabin.
If we're interested in how "john" would wrap up…
Shouldn't we be communing with the ghost of Pier Paolo Pasolini? Or at least watching TEOREMA?
Wha?
I am suddenly possessed with the urge to see a movie that stars Bill Goldberg. I'm kind of scared by this turn of events.
Someone please stop Facets.
This is the last fucking straw, really. Until the company starts springing for transfers that can even approach passable, I say that we ignore them. I appreciate that they're taking the time to get all this obscure stuff on the market, but it still needs to be goddamned watchable.
Go forth and KILL!
Yeah, the old-school suits and physical FX were cool. It'd have been nice if the directors had let us see what they looked like.
I second the awesomeness of Now Time Delegation. I admit that when I first heard the band, I knew not who these Tim 'n' Lisa people were — all I knew is that "Nothin' But a Heartache" blew the fucking doors off. Knowing who they are only makes it so much cooler.
19 writers…
…and only one of 'em mentions El-P? Bah!
Made it all the way down the page…
…without seeing anyone mention "Soup to Nutz." That says to me that nobody's local paper deigns to put it in their comics page.
The TV movie doesn't have much in common with the (totally awesome) short story aside from the idea of "equalizing" devices, but it's not bad all the same.
