Hand down, man down.

Well since someone like Tom Ley wrote several pieces about how the playoffs where a foregone conclusion, I think all the hot takes going the other way are awesome. Plus, they’re actually accurate to what happened (unlike the crowning of the Warriors).

It’s funny when you put it in actual, proper perspective. Over the last two years the Warriors are 1-3 in the playoffs against good, healthy teams. They thought they could go b2b without facing one healthy team in either year. Nope.

Honestly there isn’t anything to see here. The Warriors are now 1-2 in the last two years in the playoffs against great healthy teams. their ascendence has been totally luck based.

BOOMSHACKALA.

And? The West had Portland as a 5 seed.

Oh and lets remember that the Cavs when 12-2 vs. the East last year with 10 of those games having no Kevin Love and Irving out of roughly half of them.

OK, do you also go around trollishly discrediting the Warriors ring last year because they played nothing but injury depleted teams? Seriously, this series vs. the Thunder is the first time in two years that the Warriors have played a good team that was healthy and they are 1-1.

The Pistons & Hawks were a combined 8-0 against Houston and Portland this year.

Trailblazer’s weren’t a ‘really good team’. They were Lillard and a good coach. They had as many wins this year as... The Detroit Pistons (i.e. the team the Cavs swept in the first round)

Golden State beat Houston and Portland. You can talk about how tough the West is/was all you want, but after the top 3 (LAC don’t count once they lost CP3 and BG) it was garbage.

Golden State Warriors, should they get to the Finals will have beaten a 55 win team, a 44 win team and a 41 win team.
Cleveland Cavs, when they get to the Finals will have beaten a 56 win team, a 48 win team, and a 44 win team.

Except for that in the NBA you don’t get a special award for winning cheapest. You just get one for winning, irregardless of cost.

Brilliant. Nailed it. Dwight is so terrible, and it’ll be interesting to see the offers he gets this summer if he opts out.

Funny you offered this before the Cavs ultra team effort spanking of Atlanta. As a Cavs follower, I honestly think 98% of their ‘disfunction’ was a result of being very, very bored with regular season basketball. With LeBron’s age and wear and tear I don’t think we’ll ever see him care about a Wednesday in February or

Yeah, Iggy was better to me because he was way more athletic, but Green would probably offer things that AI2 couldn’t/didn’t.

LOL. Also, apparently one pro team building a 40 point lead on another in under 30 minutes doesn’t speak to any ‘fight’ or ‘mojo’ (or any other dumb cliche) in said team.

this is post of the day.
