Why did this happen?

I loved Arrival so very much and I still do but Moonlight should win so many things. I haven’t seen a film that gorgeous and moving since A Single Man, which got ROBBED as far as I am concerned. And honestly Moonlight might be the better of the two.

Maybe he thought it was implied that its absence was also a surprise to him? I don’t think this is an actual error, just not clear.

So here’s my rock bottom, in terms of being petty and that. Everything is shit so frankly I am ok with my low bar here. 

Actually what’s going on here is that he’s boring the kids, they aren’t giving him the attention he wants, so he’s invoking some toxic masculinity.
