Renault did just that with one of the variants of the twingo a few years ago. You could change it to the exhaust note of an R8, a Renault V8 from an F1 car, and many others. They did it to mock companies like BMW who were all serious about it.

Yes. 100% agree!

I think LED daytime running light strips in general. Hate hate hate them. Audi R8 was the first to really mainstream it, now, every car has them. And they usually have stupid designs too. (looking at you Hyundai and VW Golf)

Yeah, but given that it didn't live on the boat in Port, would indicate someone took care of it at their house, which isn't federal property. Wonder if it would have made a difference if they kept it on a base?

XB-38.

Didn’t break any speed limits? On camera. I really hope that they went out on a deserted country road somewhere and gave it the beans off camera. Just so that his experience could be complete!

I love that the USS Constitution is listed on there in the ‘other’ section!

Nah, don't have to worry about the sand getting on your blanket. It'll just blow the blanket away so there is no blanket for sand to get on.

The noise these things make as they taxi by is incredible. Not to mention the amount of air those massive rotors stir up.

Took this video a few weeks ago in Mesa, Arizona of the same B29 as it taxied up. For full effect, put on some good headphones. Video was recorded in 4K.

Yes, heads up display it is. You see those styles on larger cargo-type aircraft. Look up cockpit pictures of the C-130J, they have them as well for example.

What is funny about this is that when one thinks of the "frontier", you think rugged terrain, uninhabited land, no roads, and, mud. So of course it was a Frontier airline that got stuck in some mud.

Yeah, North Korea did pop up in my head first, but I decided that they don't really count. The MiGs that Romania flies are at least still relevant, NK's MiG 17s? Not so much. Good call on the F5 though, completely forgot about that guy. There is a squadron of them where I was stationed, being an aggressor squadron,

An interesting read. One could argue that its fairly uncommon for a fighter jet to remain in service, and relevant, for that long. Sure, we see that in larger aircraft like the B-52, C130, and the U2, but for a fighter? Im not sure I can think of any that are near as old as the MiG 21 and are still in service. The

I would hazard a guess that personal submarines are easier to detect by larger ships as you probably don't see many boats under water. Not to mention, they are probably fairly easy to catch. Now, boarding one/forcing it to surface is probably its own special problem. It would be easy to drop a depth charge (do they

Good article. Its not often we get some good details and stories about the often-overlooked coast guard!

I see what you did there!

Correct, and I believe the production numbers for 05 and 06 still favored the manual with more produced per year with manuals over autos.

You saved me the trouble of looking for a picture of a GTO to post up. X2 for the GTO. You can easily find them for less than 10k with an acceptable amount of miles on it. And, it doesn't really get more basic, big V8 up front, connected to the wheels at the back by a funny stick coming out of the floor next to the

Good call!
