I worked as a waitress for a few years. Everyone I know absolutely prefers cash tips. 1. It’s generally harder for it to be taken from us, for pools, “fees” or generally shady bosses.
2. We can under report for our taxes.  On a good night, we generally made 18-20% and claimed 15% of whatever our total sales were.
