I kind of agree with you. If I drop 100k on a car I want people to instantly know I am driving a 100k car and not some kind of Toyota.

Black controller w/black background looks more iconic and dramatic to me, sort of like the dawning of a new day/eclipse kind of feeling.

Generally whenever I get around to upgrading I end up buying everything and usually get the best available parts at the time so that I don’t HAVE to upgrade for a few years but for a lot of people that are on a bit of a budget it’s nice to know you can save a bit on the processor now…
