When I was stationed in at Travis AFB (CA), NASCAR was in Sonoma for their annual race. They invited a bunch of us to come to a practice and check out the cars. Ya, but at least they will have competition against each other and will hopefully drive prices down. Samsung, WD, Seagate, Crucial, Intel (etc.) will all want a piece of that action.

There is too much money on the table NOT to release Starfield and Elderscrolls 6 on PS5. What you will probably see is exclusive expansion content only available on XBOX and PC.

That is because these things are basically small gaming PCs now. 

Sony would be incredibly smart to price the Digital PS5 at $400, even if it means taking a larger loss than anticipated. It would eat directly into both Series S and Series X sales.

Considering you can buy a 4K TV now for under $300, I agree.

Except people are dumb. They are going to lay this thing on its side and stuff will be placed on top of it. Papers, books, ashtrays (gross), soda/beer cans, etc.

If Sony can offer the Digital PS5 at $399, it will have the potential to eat sales from both the Series S ($299) and Series X ($499).

It has to be a pretty big hit.
