Ya, but at least they will have competition against each other and will hopefully drive prices down. Samsung, WD, Seagate, Crucial, Intel (etc.) will all want a piece of that action.

As a PC gamer, both Sony and Microsoft are doing a fine job at finding reasons for me not to buy their systems. 

That is because these things are basically small gaming PCs now. 

I am most curious about Huawei. I know ARM is based out of the UK, but being owned by a US parent company, can the Trump administration force ARM to stop selling licensing and design to them?

Sony would be incredibly smart to price the Digital PS5 at $400, even if it means taking a larger loss than anticipated. It would eat directly into both Series S and Series X sales.

Considering you can buy a 4K TV now for under $300, I agree.

Except people are dumb. They are going to lay this thing on its side and stuff will be placed on top of it. Papers, books, ashtrays (gross), soda/beer cans, etc.

If Sony can offer the Digital PS5 at $399, it will have the potential to eat sales from both the Series S ($299) and Series X ($499).
