My father has been an engineer for one of the “big 3" console developers for over 20 years now. He hated E3 with every ounce of his soul. The absolute worst week of his life. He called it a giant, wasteful “dog and pony show”. For him it was meetings after meetings after meetings.

I got this impression too. I am primarily a PC gamer (I have a nice rig) and they managed to convince me to buy a PS5. 

TL:DR,

I don’t see why at the very least they cannot just add in some 4k textures and call it a day.
