Oh for fuck’s sake, can we just impeach this man?!

You will be missed good sir. You were my Doctor!

I reject all choices of well know actors. I want a relative unknown! I want to see the Doctor, not an actor I know playing the Doctor.

Sigh, Capaldi has been my favorite of all the new who doctors. It is a shame that, just as he is getting into a very good groove with the character, he’s being pushed out for what will no doubt be a younger, hipper Doctor to try to recapture that Matt Smith fanbase. I like my old, cranky Doctors :-(

which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

I’m much more concerned with why female heroes keep getting put in heels. Who cares about why they keep performing sweet spinning leg moves, I want to know how Harley did a tuck and roll run on a rooftop in those shoes!

Boom. I even bought the DVDs.

I’d really like to see DC tackle a Justice League Dark series. Bring back Constantine and really explore the mystic. The success of Doctor Strange should be a big push for this.

What about Adam West and Stan Lee? The world will be forever darkened when we lose them :’-(

I think the biggest factor limiting this beyond cost is that even with all the best tech we have, CG humans still look fake. Uncanny Valley man, Uncanny Valley.

I really thought they were going this way when I saw her mother’s outfit. I thought that the crystal she gave her daughter would later be used in a light saber, either her own or someone else, such as Chirrut Imwe. Looking at his staff I really thought that it was a lightsaber handle, but yeah.

The only DC movie I want to see is the Wonder Woman film. I do love DC TV

Two things not added: Fun and joy

Thank you for this post Bryan. It is well written and explained. This film was ok, but it was far from perfect.

Is this really that brave of a choice? They took 2 dimensional characters, gave them almost no development, and then killed them off rather than have to work them into the continuity of the original films. It honestly felt lazy to me, not brave.

What’s funny is, at its heart this kind of thing was my biggest problem with the film. They spent so much time making it look like a Star Wars film that they didn’t really seem to spend any time making it its own film. I was constantly taken out of this film by the comparison.

These films are beautiful crap. I love them so, but also completely understand people who hate them. For me they are almost meditative in their nature. You can turn your mind off while watching them and reach a place of colorful Nirvana. Nothing turns off the thoughts of the world like Fast and the Furious.

I love, love, love Capaldi’s Doctor. Seriously, how can fans of the classic series not love this Doctor? He’s cranky and weird and obnoxious an lonely and caring and just, everything I think a Doctor should be. He’s everything the sixth Doctor should have been allowed to become. Just great.
