A little while ago I posted a message on another article about my biggest problem with the Doctor changing genders was that there was not a good reason to do it. I agree with Gaiman here that doing it for this regeneration really served no purpose, even though a lot of people wanted it to happen.

Keep in mind, you're thinking that the Doctor ages like a human. Actually Time Lords age much slower that humans do. So they will change little in a hundred years, while we would age and die.

Whoa now, let's not get crazy! A story line?! A decent plot?! How are you ever going to make a toy line for 7/11 based on that?

You know, I've never really looked at this closely, but it appears that this X-wing is attacking Chewbacca's head...or Mark Hamill's backside.

While the debate rages into the night about who should have played the Doctor, I am personally interested in another aspect of this change in actors. As lot of Whovians are aware, a new Doctor often means a shift in the tone and focus of the series. Eccelston's stories were about a broken warrior attempting to deal

Make the call Warner Brothers...MAKE THE CALL!

I like Turtles. That is my response.

Much better. Has a nice impact.

People who felt that a known actor would be too distracting in the part.

Oh yeah. I still know people who complain about him, and how much they liked Eccelston more. They all go through it.

Only if it is followed by Freeman saying "when I was a boy..."

well if you like the new Thor poster, you'll love this one.

All we need is the Hand of Omega, and we could make this star ours!

Blast, you're right! Actually, watch, he will be a ginger and everyone will complain about that!

The New Doctor will be announced on Sunday at 2, followed quickly by an army of who-fans trashing and deriding him based on a single picture they have seen, as well as whatever small tv work the actor has done. This will then be immediately be followed by angry outrage because the new Doctor is not the black/white/

You know, I had the exact same thought. It's just too much. Why is Heimdall just floating on a cloud in the background? And the pose of his fellow gods on the left, that's inspiring. The original Thor poster was much cooler, and something like that would have worked much better here

You think this is going to give me nightmares? I once watched an entire marathon of Keeping up with the Kardashians!

Um, hello,

Yes, but that alien was loose in a whole ship, where there is conceivably some sort of food source it could have fed on, or at least found some water or something to help it grow. The tentacle thing was locked in a small room with nothing to sustain it, and yet it reached a massive size in a matter of hours.

Agreed. The third act of this film totally fell apart. Suddenly we have a sun zombie killer running around? Too bad because overall I enjoyed the film, but yeah, lots of problems.
