To me, there is no divide between spiritual and science. By this I mean, understanding the chemical process by which a glass sculpture is made does not make it any less beautiful to me, and in many ways makes me appreciate it more. Will understanding the chemical properties in my brain that make me love my wife make

It is, but what's funny is it only has one ending, where the one they had for the last Batman movie had 4-5. Interesting...

I also like Pacific Rim. Good times :-)

I understand all of this, I was just surprised by it.

I know I'm not the biggest fan of the character, but I did love the Christopher Reeves superman, and consider the first one to be one of the best films ever in the superhero genre.

It's funny, Thatguywiththeglasses.com also had pretty much every reviewer panning the film (except for Angry Joe, who, ironically, is the biggest Superman fan). I don't know if io9 has talking points, but there is definitely a mentality online to jump all over certain things.

That's true, but I think we also need to keep in mind that this is an origin story. He has not had time to become that beacon of light yet. I think the sequel will really be the decider on this version of Superman.

Never a problem asking for more clarity. That's how we learn :-)

Actually, if you count the international box office take it made 91 million in the opening weekend, so I don't think it will go down as a flop. I do think this is a film that will actually stay fairly consistent for the next few weeks, and hopefully do well on DVD and Blu-ray.

You know, I actually really enjoyed Man of Steel. I didn't think it was perfect (I give it a solid B) but it was fun and entertaining. I don't understand all the hate the film is getting from the critics, especially when so many of them loved the last Superman film which I thought was terrible.

Never mind, found it. Thanks. Wouldn't want to mock the grammar skills of this group of people.

What grammar error?

It's a nice article, but come on. All real scientist know that dinosaur bones were hidden in the earth by the Devil to trick us into believing in EVIL-lution. Ok, there were some dinosaurs that man domesticated, but most of them were wiped out in the flood when Noah ran out of Poke' balls to store them in.

Eh, I'll get better.

science huh? Sounds like witchcraft to me!

The best thing to come out of all of this is that those who have never read comics before are finally getting a taste of what it is to be a comic fan. As someone who has read comics for years, and attempted as best he can to follow the timeline of the X-men and other Marvel characters, I am greatly enjoying how people

I totally agree about the willpower (and the money we waste on garbage here) but one question I look forward to learning the answer to in the official design is how they are going to deal with the earthquake issue. California is kind of known for that, and I wonder if, for a project this massive, what they are going

I actually really disliked Davison myself. He has his moments, but yeah, not my favorite.

I wish he would do more with Frobisher.

As Baker himself said, the Trial unfortunately mirrored what was going on with the show itself, and ended in a way that allowed them to get rid of him. It may have ended his tenure, but I think it had some real good in it as well, including the death of Peri (before they washed it away at the end).
