Ian, great to have you here. I'm a huge fan of the E-Type and DB7 (and similarly the XK8), and it seems to me that modern-day sportscar design has become rather fussy, concerned with all kinds of vents and creases everywhere. Do you think that the elegance of simplicity found in those designs will make a comeback

I'd be quite skeptical of how effective this could be. Seeing that the power output of a wind turbine scales with the square of its diameter, you'd need thousands of these to get any kind of utility.

My daily is a Vostok-Europe N1 Rocket - it's a nice chunky automatic diver, with tritium tube markers on the dial for all-night glow. Russian watches aren't the most common sight, but I love the style and I'm on my second now, after a Vostok Amphibian.

Since the A380, which also began with the -800, Boeing and Airbus seemed to like starting with the -8/800 models of aircraft, because the number 8 is deemed lucky in Asia. Likewise, the A350 started with the -800 and Boeing skipped the -5, -6 and -700, when launching the -8 model (which has proved so lucky so far).
