Appreciate that it feels much more like the Gene Wilder classic than the Johnny Depp abominations. Cautiously looking forward to it.

Not a big Vegas guy, and not opining on the social ethics or environmental impact of these things, but I’m honestly glad there’s still a place in America that appreciates grandiose and spectacle-oriented architecture. All the new skyscrapers in NYC and other major US cities are boring as sin and designed solely to

All that just in the DEMO? Damn.

I wish I could give you a million stars. The callousness in these comments is depressing. You can despise the rich and still have human decency.

For all you very smart people talking about how great this would be in America, imagine giving some podunk sheriff in rural America even MORE chances to abuse their authority and extort INCOME-LINKED fines from citizens. Yeeahh… no gracias.

I thought it couldn’t possibly be $35bn since I don’t think the entire corporation is even worth $20bn, but apparently that’s what Reuters is actually reporting. Crazy.

This is probably a big factor, and I wish I had done the same. I was coming off lease on my old XC90 when covid hit in early 2020. I decided to return the car back b/c I figured I wouldn’t need a car for a while and any supply disruptions would be short-lived. Instead I needed a car again a few months later and the

People bitching and moaning about having to pay for the negative externalities they generate always get the small violin treatment from me. If paying for the environmental damage you do, or paying to mitigate that environmental damage, means you can’t make a profit, maybe it’s your business model that’s broken.
