I’m confused. Isn’t the Bronco based on the Ranger? Couldn’t they just pop some new front fascias and body panels on the Ranger and call it a day?
Just chiming in to agree with many other posters. Buy THIS, get rid of almost all of your other vehicles.
Sadly, with the way things are going with the coronavirus in the US and between US-China relations, I don’t think you’ll be touring the Changli factory for a long, long time.
No it’s like a Compass boinked a Wrangler. It’s the Step-sibling Porn of Automobiles.
Even as an “old” who can’t hear high pitched sounds like he used to, I find the sound of this car incredibly unpleasant.

TL;DR
Great article.
The team that did the Defender redesign should be ashamed of themselves - THIS is how you modernize a classic. The new Bronco looks super futuristic and super classic at the same time, with all the refinements, tech and ruggedness from Ford’s many years of work truck dominance built in. Honestly really tempted to buy…
These are going to sell like hotcakes. And inevitably the success of the DBX will spawn a Macan-like compact version (DBXc for compact?) and perhaps stretched 5 door hatches like the Panamera (Return of the Lagonda?).
Great points. Demand for used cars is also very important for residual values on leases, which allows the manufacturers to offer more attractive lease terms to new car buyers.
Also a huge fan of LGR
I guess Jeep will finally have to up the power in the Wrangler’s Pentastar V6.
“Investment”
hope your health is holding up well during this pandemic Mike.
This is so much more attractive than the new Defender it’s honestly depressing.
If that number is his birth year he’s my age. I can’t imagine how tough the talk with his son must have been, but glad he’s going to try to fight it. Best of luck Chappy78.
Damnit now I can’t stop hearing it. !!!
That’s cool
