If they keep saying “disgraced” enough, it might trickle into the cultural lexicon. Seemingly neutral reporters might start using it, or otherwise implying or assuming that Steele has been some how implicated in shady behavior or misconduct. It’s a fairly effective tactic that costs little to use.
