I hope - and considering the rest of the story I’m sure this is happening - that the untold continuation of this is that Jenny is in therapy now, and will be supported by family and therapists for a long time to come. It will still be really hard for her, though.

I do not order certain things at a lovely old-timely ice cream shop in my city because of their paper straws. They set my teeth on edge.

The Washington Post is reporting the government doesn’t know how many kids they fucking kidnapped - thus the “less than 3000" figure we’re hearing. These assholes took these children from their parents and didn’t keep track of them at all. I heard on NPR that there were 9 parents who’s were already deported and they

DC was hot. I do think even more people would have come out if it had been more temperate. A lot of older folks especially seemed to be leaving early, and I can’t blame them. There were still a lot of people there, though.

Yes yes yes yes yes. All of this.

When they opened that one former Wal Mart camp to the press I immediately thought of Theresienstadt, the concentration camp that the Nazis showed to the Red Cross. They made it a model camp, acted like Jews we’re thriving I need a new community, mollified the Red Cross, then sent the inhabitants of the camp to

This is the first season that I really don’t care who wins. I have no strong feelings about any of the queens. I like Cracker a lot, and I wish she was still there, but I don’t think she’s even up to the standard of past winners.

I love scary but not gory ghost stories. I love costume dramas. I am going to watch this and hopefully love it sooooooooo much.

You can come to legal aid, where the dress code is “dress like a lawyer, but not a lawyer lawyer, a cool lawyer, you know, not too many suits, but also be ready to run to court at any time, but also that guy over there who’s a pain in the ass at union meetings has been wearing jeans for thirty five years and will

I didn’t realize Solo was considered a flop, I saw it this weekend and enjoyed it about as much as I expected to. It was a fun action movie. I was interested enough in Han’s backstory to watch it. The theater was pretty full.

I’m not s big fan of remakes, but I sometimes wish that someone good at making movies would redo those, but like, change it by directing the actors to express some form or emotion or something.

I like Star Wars, I think they built up a fun world that I like to visit.

Good point! It does make it seem scarier than it really is. There’s was also a popular book we were all reading before I started, I don’t remember what is called, but it was a memoir about Harvard law school and also made law school seem scarier than it was. Maybe people should avoid stories about Harvard.

Movies you must watch to “prepare” for law school:

The speculation, fake concern and plastic surgery speculation are gross and sexist, I agree. Even if she did have plastic surgery she doesn’t have to tell us about it!

I feel that way, too. First Lady is a weird role that should be like, several paid positions but the wife of the President does it for free because that’s what we expect wives to do that still, I guess.

I liked Survivor back in the day when it first came out. It was such a crazy phenomenon. I liked the competition/game show aspect combined with the social aspect. I remember tv didn’t know what do with the stars, like is Richard Hatch a real celebrity now? And Colleen did a terrible rom com, I think, and then went

I definitely agree with your point about physical violence taking the focus off of who is wrong. It’s just not an effective way to enforce norms, and it turns it into “sure she’s controversial but the left is violent!” Instead of “here is a woman with intolerable views who should be pushed out of society like a
