I didn’t even hate it, but I was deeply affected and terrified, and I just could not believe that he thought sex was an appropriate follow up. I would watch Twin Peaks, I did love the X-Files in the 90's and those fan groups do seem to overlap pretty heavily.

The thing is, I think he was genuinely surprised by my reaction. He knew it was weird but think he had seen it so many times the horror was blunted somewhat. He saw it as a metaphor about adult life and I was like “SPERM IS TERRIBLE NEVER AGAIN.”

Here is my David Lynch story. Once I dated a guy who LOVED David Lynch. He came over to my place to watch a movie and spend the night, and he brought over Eraserhead, which for some reason he thought was a good date movie.

If that goes, I actually don’t know what I’ll do. I’m a legal aid lawyer and there is no way I can pay off my loans without this program. I’ll be paying until retirement. It’s like a second mortgage.

She’s a good choice.

I think she saw all Barack went through and made a decision never to do it. I don’t think she’s really a politician, either, I think she’s a lawyer who would still be practicing if not for her husband’s success. Which is fine for her! I love her but not every cool woman has to be president.

Preach! That’s why I’m team Tammy Duckworth 2020. Legislative experience, badass military history, liberal views, woman of color. I’m not sure if she’s going to run but she sure should.

I was listening to NPR last night and someone was in talking about how the White House was hoping this trip “out there in the world” would change his perspective and broaden his views in international policy. I was just so mad. He is the President of the US and he should not be taking a trip for same reasons

Oh Obama, he was so young and dorky when he started his presidency. Look at that smile! I miss him.

I think it was on This American Life, and I remember it well. It gave me a new perspective on all these lovingly-intended ways that dying people think they can contribute/control people’s lives after they go. Like, maybe this guy doesn’t want to feel obligated to date by his dead wife. Maybe he wants to be single.

Hey, now, let’s not drag cheese into this.

Yes! I heard one thing about this on NPR but it’s getting surprisingly little coverage.

I should have read your comment first- I had the same thought.

Oh thank goodness I am not the only one who was thinking these thoughts. What is with a sweater and no pants? For what weather is that appropriate?

I agree with you. Obamacare in large part (Medicaid expansion aside, I believe) is a market-based conservative solution to the problem of people not having health insurance. That’s why Romney did it in Massachusetts. It’s the best solution to the pre-Obamacare health insurance world that conservatives could come up

So, my finger is hovering over the little star because I think this is an astute comment, but it also paints such a horrifically accurate picture of our world I don’t know if I can approve of the concept.

Yes, but it’s more important to call them BEFORE they vote. Call your Senators, today, though.

Leaders played the “Rocky” theme song as lawmakers walked into the meeting.

Your grandma is correct. What is even the point of making the movie without him?

He’s not going to quit so much as have a public breakdown. He’s pretty bad at obfuscation and lies, he can’t keep them straight and it’s killing him.
