I don’t give a fuck if a politician is personally anti abortion as long as she supports it as a constitutional right. Choice is choice! He can sleep easy supporting my constitutional rights knowing he will never have to have an abortion if he doesn’t want one.

I mean being pro union and pro choice sounds more liberal than a lot of people who I’ve met who also identify as ‘liberal’.

Why should it have been a decisive win? It’s a district Trump won by 20%. A razor thin victory is actually very good.

This. I think getting the more conservative areas used to the idea that center-left (or just center) Democrats can be effective leaders in their areas means that, down the road, we could shift more geography blue.

I’m all for a move for more progressive candidates in the Dems - but we also have to at least pay lip…

Conservative Democrats getting elected in conservative districts where previously there were ultra-conservative (or just radical) Republicans is still a win. Voting with you sometimes is better than voting with you never.

For a split second I thought that was actually Harry and Meghan, then I looked at “William” and “Kate”.
