The Stand is my favorite end of the world book. Even though it’s super long, I always want it to be longer when I finish it.

Some of his best, imo are IT, The Stand, Different Seasons, and The Shining, in that order.

My absolute favorite, and one of my favorite books period, is King’s “The Stand.” A post-apocalyptic story that you cannot believe was written in 1978, still really prescient and one of the great precursors of the post-apocalyptic genre boom.

The fact that he’s salivating at the idea of people going broke because of medical expenses and having their lives ruined (or ended) is...well it’s classic Chump Republican Administration Protocol (or C.R.A.P.) but still unbelievably despicable.
